Going to have BMW replace my injectors under the recall even though I just put new ones in last year because why not get new injectors for free under the 16E-A01 recall - I doubt this will solve the issue unless they also update the DME - I know there is another recall 16E-A02 for some emission codes not working but that doesn’t apply to me. I’ve had this issue before I even swapped over to the TU turbos so I don’t think it is caused by that I’m at a loss right now until I start throwing money at it. I know there is a recall on the pumps which makes me think that is the problem and BMW will not replace it unless it is actually throwing a CEL - fucks charged me 200$ already for no reason already other than to rob me when I was in for recall workīefore I start throwing money at this I want to know if anyone has had to have a DME update related to this that solved this? NO DTC’s and have new o2 sensors for both up and down stream.Īnyone have issues getting their fuel system passing? Unless some sensors were bypassed and disabled during Cold Air Intake installation the Check Engine Light should come on indicating something isnt right. I have about 60 cycles since last DTC reset without any codes. lowest I’ve seen is about 13.2 and highest is 15 when letting of the throttle because of the atmosphere blowoff, and it runs in closed loop. I monitor the fuel mixture and it is pretty stable around 14 as it should be and does not go +\- to much. I’ve driven a lot, today I took a 300 mile round trip drive and still not ready. I’m trying to get my truck smogged in CA and having a major pain in the ass with the fuel system it won’t complete, all other emissions are passed except the fuel system. I am considering flashing the PCM and starting over.Soooo. I don't think new O2 sensors will do anything. Obviously, more driving is not going to cure this one. When the fuel system monitor isn’t ready, the PCM can’t control the fuel injection, which leads to a cascade of additional issues. Let the car slowdown from 60 mph without using the brakes My rpm never went higher than 3000. Drive between 20 to 30mph for more than 3 min 3. Hence a problem with the EVAP system which displays the monitor EVAP not ready, can affect this monitor too. Turn the engine on when its cold and just let it idle for 3min 15sec 2. The mode 6 results shown are well below the maximum (if they can believed) I paid the $19.00 for 72 hours of Kia factory service information and did not find anything that shows this is an ongoing issue. The fuel system monitor works optimally when the EVAP system monitor is in good condition. The In Use Performance tracking show that the O2 is meeting the criteria and completing the test, just no readiness is set. As you can see in the file, the light was last cleared 52047 KM ago. two monitors that are not ready will be accepted for the OBD test and the test. It failed at another facility and then here with me. monitors the performance of the ignition, fuel metering and emissions. The customer said the check engine light has never been on. So it may be tune/mod related for me, but good information for people having issues getting the fuel system monitor to set. Unlike most of the vehicles sent to me with readiness issues, this one has not had any repair, no MIL has been on and no low battery issues reported. According to the document CARB changed the fuel system from a continuous monitor to one that is non-continuous for the S550 (requires a drive cycle.) I tried what is recommended in the document and it still didnt set. Here we have yet another monitor readiness issue.
